The cost to make your cruise all-inclusive is $55 per person per day, added to your cruise fare, and applies only to the first and second guests in each cabin. This terminal is located in an industrial area, however within walking distance to a large marina with a Holiday Inn hotel and several so-so restaurants and outdoor cafes. Most of the cruise ships dock at Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA), conveniently located in the city center within walking distance from Amsterdam central station and city attractions. Housed in a modern, wave-like glass building, PTA has 2 berths that can accommodate ships up to 630 m combined length. You probably do not have to use public transportation in front of the Central Station.
It’s a MUST-HAVE if you are spending a day or two in the city. In mid-July 2022, was announced that in 2025 cruise ships docking at Passenger Terminal Amsterdam will start using shore power. In November 2017, the port announced its objectives to achieve up to 50% emissions reduction (NOx, SOx, soot particles) generated by docked ocean cruise ships by the year 2030. Another planned objective was reducing to virtually zero the levels of noise and air pollution caused by diesel generators at all public berths (located inside the city's ring road) by 2018. Port Amsterdam’s main cruise port terminal is known as Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, located within walking distance from Amsterdam downtown.

The Port of Amsterdam is conveniently located just a short distance from many popular attractions such as Dam Square and the Red Light District. An eye-catching building on the IJ River, PTA welcomes about 200,000 passengers annually and also serves as an impressive event venue. Tugged away on Spui square you will find a little portal that goes into the Begijnhof. It is a 14th century courtyard with a small church and little houses.

Amsterdam’s city council has decided to close a cruise ship terminal in its centre, in the latest attempt to limit mass tourism in the Dutch capital. Unfortunately, you cannot purchase a V-chipkaart at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam Cruise Port. However, you can easily purchase one from any major public transportation station in Amsterdam or online before your trip. The cruise port is located about 11 kilometers (7 miles) from the nearest beach, which is Zandvoort Beach. This popular seaside destination can be easily reached by train or bus from Amsterdam Central Station. The canals of Amsterdam, picturesque streets, and rich history make it a unique and memorable place to explore.

The Rijksmuseum features almost one million objects but only 8000 pieces of artwork are displayed including several of Rembrandt’s portraits and his famous “Night Watch”. It’s important to book as far in advance as you can to ensure your vacation isn’t affected by your first option being sold out. The weather in Alaska changes quickly and dramatically and can vary widely depending on where in the state you are.
